Jesus is Coming Again Soon

What is still missing? The priests have not yet been consecrated for their service in the temple. For this they need the ashes of a red heifer (young cow) at least two years and one day old but under four years. Currently the rabbis are checking a group of young red heifers looking for disqualifying blemishes like different coloured hairs. (Numbers 19:2-7) There have been no qualified red heifers for the past 1900 years in Israel and this coming one will be the tenth since Moses' time.

A plot of land that meets the requirements for an animal sacrifice has been purchased on the Mount of Olives. A qualified red heifer could be sacrificed on the Mount of Olives in two years or less from now. That doesn't mean the Temple will be built then, but it does mean the rabbis would have the ashes ready for whenever permission to build the temple is given.

This ceremony of ritual purification from sin is for the Jewish people only. Before the time of Jesus, Jewish people who trusted their future to God followed His instructions to kill an unblemished animal at given times to be a temporary covering for their sins.

The sinless Lord Jesus became the permanent sacrifice for sin for all generations and non-Jewish people around the world look to Jesus to be their only Saviour from sin. All people throughout the generations from Adam onwards have gone to their graves. Only Jesus was born at the time predicted 700 years earlier, lived His life, died and was raised again to life to walk on this earth. No other religious leader throughout history has ever risen from their grave. Jesus promised that He would take out His faithful disciples before the destruction of the world during the Tribulation. As part of the Godhead, we know that He can never tell a lie and will never break His promise.

The Rapture is an absolute necessity for godly people. We must shed these mortal bodies to be able to exist where God dwells in heaven. This necessary transition from mortal to immortal must happen prior to the Tribulation (70th Week of Daniel), because we must be judged first (2 Cor. 5:1-11, 1 Peter 4:17) before God judges the world who rejected His Son (Jer. 30:7-11). Jesus Christ is coming back to this earth to rule and reign in righteousness after the Tribulation of 7 years has passed.
